Born on June 9, 1959, in Orlando, Florida, Walter spent the majority of his life in Shelby, North Carolina, where he was not only known for his diligent work as a Machine Operator for Coca-Cola, but more importantly for the profound and lasting impact he made on the lives of those around him. Known for his warmth and unwavering commitment to his family.\n\nWalter was a beacon of love, his life beautifully interwoven with the lives of his beloved wife Kathy, with whom he shared an incredible 45 years of marriage, and their sons, Josh, Matt, and Tim. His love extended to his daughters-in-law, Leia and Phylicia, and his cherished grandchildren - Atticus, Meadow, Lily, and River, who brought untold joy to his life. Walter's generosity of spirit extended far beyond his immediate family to his brother John and his wife Geneva, who were a constant source of inspiration to him. \n\nWalter was the sort of person who made time for the things that mattered most - family, friends, fishing, and golfing. He was a man who truly understood the value of life's simple pleasures and the importance of creating lasting memories with those he held dear. His generosity extended beyond his loved ones as he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.\n\nPreceded in death by his parents Raymond and Ruth Dunaway, Walter's spirit will continue to live on through his wife Kathy, sons Josh, Matt, Tim, and their respective families, and his brother John and wife Geneva.
