Ravenell "Ralphie” Jones, a skilled carpenter and beloved friend, passed away peacefully at his home on June 4, 2023. Born on August 30, 1946, in Lumberton, North Carolina, Ralph lived a fulfilling life and touched the hearts of those around him. Ralph was known for his craftsmanship and dedication to his work. As a carpenter, he left behind a legacy of beautifully crafted structures that will continue to stand as a testament to his talent and skill. Ralph loved to work, he loved music and to sing and dance. He enjoyed gardening. Ralph also loved to go to church. He attended New Life Baptist, in Bessemer City, North Carolina. Widowed, Ralph found solace and friendship in Nikki Lanier, who became a dear best friend and a source of support. Alongside Nikki's loving family, Ralph experienced a sense of belonging and found comfort in their presence. They provided him with care, understanding, and friendship, creating a warm and welcoming environment. Ralph's infectious spirit was reflected in his favorite saying, "I'm an Indian, I can take it." It demonstrated his resilience, strength, and determination to face any challenge that came his way. Ravenell "Ralph" Jones will be deeply missed by Nikki Lanier and her loving family, as well as by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
