It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly Pilkington Deal, a courageous, dedicated, loving, and resilient woman, on May 18, 2023. Born in Gastonia, North Carolina on October 19, 1969, to Roger and Patsy Pilkington, Kelly was a beacon of light to all who knew her. Her unwavering love for her family, especially her grandchildren, radiated throughout her life, making her an exceptional mother, grandmother, and friend.\n\nKelly spent her days as a devoted homemaker, tending to her loved ones and creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family. Her passion for rocks was evident in her remarkable collection, which was a testament to her curiosity and appreciation of nature's beauty. Kelly's loving spirit and dedication to her family made her a pillar of strength and a source of comfort to those around her.\n\nKelly is survived by her sons, Josh Metz and Michael Deal, her significant other, Tim Sigmon, as well as two sisters, twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild, and is preceded in death by her father, Roger Pilkington, her mother, Patsy Pilkington, and her daughter, Sarah Deal.\n\n A funeral celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at 11:00am until 1:00pm at Rankin Lake Park, located at 1750 Rankin Lake Road, Gastonia, North Carolina.
