Jeremy Tucker

–

Kings Mountain, North Carolina

Jeremy Michael Tucker, 44, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on May 29th, 2026.

He was born on January 17th, 1982 Jeremy spent his life working as a brick mason and all-around handyman. He was incredibly skilled with his hands, a passionate problem-solver, and those who knew him best will always remember his willingness to help anyone in need.

For the past few years, Jeremy fought a private and difficult battle with substance abuse. While that struggle was a part of his story, it never defined who he was. In the final eight weeks of his life, Jeremy achieved sobriety. During this precious time, he was clearer and more present than he had been in years—he was truly the same Jeremy his family loved so deeply.

His journey reminds us that no one should be judged by their darkest moments or their heaviest burdens. Behind every struggle is a human being worthy of love, dignity, and redemption. This obituary is a celebration of Jeremy's truth, his choices, and the genuine love he held in his heart.

Jeremy is survived by his three children:

Evan Michael Tucker Reece Michael Tucker Alexis Renee Tucker.

He is also survived by his loving parents, Gary and Michelle Tucker; his siblings, Andrew Michael Tucker (wife Nicki) Shannon Cline (husband Brian), Ashley Tabor (husband Chris), Taylr Jan Tucker, and Garrett Michael Tucker; his beloved nieces and nephews: Cory Cline, Cailey Cline, Cody Cline, Joshua Cline, Hayden Tabor, Ashton Tabor, Hailey Tabor, Hannah Tabor, Jordan Knight, Seth Tucker, Landon Tucker, and Jacob Tucker; as well as a large community of extended family and close friends.

He leaves behind his long-term love, Ayla Williams. Though life took them on different paths and they were not together at the time of his passing, they held a deep, enduring mutual respect for one another. She remained a profound piece of Jeremy’s heart, and we honor that love today as an undeniable part of who he was.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andy and Pearl Tucker, and Billy and Janet McCullough.

A celebration of Jeremy's Life will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, June 6th, 2026 at Steel Creek Church Eastfield Campus in Charlotte, NC.

In lieu of flowers, which are temporary, the family asks that you consider making a monetary donation to his three grown children.
