Heather Whitt Obituary (2023) - Kings Mountain, North Carolina

Heather Marie Whitt, the beloved daughter of Charles and Linda (Kirkland) Whitt, brought immense joy and inspiration into the lives of those around her. On May 16, 2023 at the age of 35 Heather died at her home, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and a contagious zest for life. She was born on September 20, 1987, in a world that was forever changed by her presence. Heather's journey was one marked by triumphs and determination. She was a graduate of Webb Street School and as a Special Olympian, she fearlessly embraced the challenges that came her way. Whether it was bowling, swimming, soccer, or any one of many other events, Heather poured her heart and soul into each competition. Heather will be remembered for her loving nature and generous spirit. Her heart overflowed with kindness, leaving an indelible impression on others. She found solace in the beauty of butterflies, marveling at their grace and elegance, Heather also enjoyed coloring and had recently begun baking for her family. That generous spirit is living on in the lives of those who will benefit from her commitment to organ and tissue donation. In addition to her parents, she leaves behind her beloved cat Gabby, who she would spend hours together with, as well as many very loved teachers, friends, and coaches, with a special place in the hearts of Rose, Carol, Anne, and Gwen. She will truly be missed. A memorial service celebrating Heather's memory will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Catawba Heights Baptist Church in Mount Holly on Monday, June 5th, 2023. Those attending are asked to wear purple, as that was Heather's favorite color.
