Christian "Christy" Lee Hullender, a vibrant and loving soul, passed away peacefully at her home on May 26, 2023. Born on December 26, 1992, to Daniel Hullender and Bobbie Hayes, Christy lived a life filled with warmth, compassion, and a deep love for her family.\n\nChristy had a lively spirit that touched the lives of those around her. She adored her two sons, Aaron and Cody Simmons, and their happiness and well-being were her greatest priorities. Christy's love for her children knew no bounds, and she embraced the joys and challenges of motherhood with unwavering dedication.\n\nSinging, especially country music, was a passion that brought Christy immense joy. Her voice would fill the room with heartfelt melodies, leaving everyone captivated by her talent. In addition, Christy found solace and guidance in reading her bible, which provided her with strength and spiritual nourishment throughout her life.\n\nWhile Christy acknowledged that she was not perfect, she strived to live her life with love and kindness towards all. Her compassionate nature and genuine concern for others left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known her. Christy believed in the power of love to bring people together and create a better world.\n\nChristy was preceded in death by her sister, Miranda Hullender, who held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her parents, Daniel Hullender and Bobbie Hayes, her cherished sons Aaron and Cody Simmons, and her eight siblings: Destiny, Adam, Mary, Ashley, Heather, Mindy, Micheal, and Brian, as well and several nieces and nephews. Each one held a unique place in Christy's life and will continue to carry her memory forward.\n\nA funeral service to celebrate Christy's life will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Westview Gardens Cemetery in Bessemer City, North Carolina.\n\nChristian "Christy" Lee Hullender will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
