Barbara Reed

Barbara Reed, 79, of Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away on June 25, 2026.

Barbara devoted many years of her life to being a loving homemaker, caring for her family and creating a warm home filled with love and support. After her children were grown, she began a new chapter as the church secretary at Eastside Baptist Church in East Charlotte, where her kindness and dedication touched the lives of many. She later enjoyed cleaning homes for a small group of families until her retirement.

In her free time, Barbara found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved working puzzle books, watching tennis matches, and spending quiet moments cuddling with her beloved cats. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, faithful work ethic, and the care she showed to those around her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. McMullin; her mother, Mae Amanda McMullin; her sister, Arlene Frances McMullin; and her son, Craig Alan Reed.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Amanda Louise Reed; her grandsons, Austin Reed Ketcham and Zackary Dean Ketcham, as well as, Robert Teeter his wife Samantha and his children Taylor and Bobby; along with extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.

Barbara's life was one of quiet devotion to her family, her faith, and the everyday acts of service that leave a lasting impact. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
